Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 September 2026 · Version 1.1
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and iVessel LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("iVessel", "we", "us"), and govern your access to and use of the iVessel application at app.ivessel.co, the iOS and Android apps, the website at ivessel.co and all related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
iVessel is a vessel maintenance and fleet management platform. It allows owners, captains, engineers, crew and authorised partners to record and track vessel details, machinery and equipment, scheduled and completed maintenance, checklists, rest hours, issues and work orders, spares and inventory, crew records, documents, expenses, and — where enabled — trips and vessel position data. Service due status, rest-hour compliance and similar indicators are calculated from the data you enter; iVessel is a record-keeping and planning tool and does not replace the professional judgement of a qualified engineer, surveyor, class society, flag state or the master of the vessel.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and, if you use the Service on behalf of a company or vessel owner, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to store unlawful, infringing or malicious content;
- attempt to access data belonging to other companies, vessels or users;
- probe, scan, overload, reverse engineer or circumvent the security of the Service;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without our written agreement;
- use automated means to extract data at a scale that degrades the Service for others.
We may suspend accounts that we reasonably believe breach these rules, and will tell you why where we are permitted to do so.
3. Free trial
Your first boat is free for 30 days from the day it is created and does not require a payment card. At the end of the trial the boat requires an active subscription to remain editable; the trial does not renew and applies once per customer.
4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
The Service is sold as a per-boat subscription. Each vessel added to your fleet requires an active subscription after any free trial. The current prices are published at ivessel.co/pricing and shown in the app before you subscribe; they are exclusive of any taxes that may apply. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled, and charges are taken with the payment method on file.
You may cancel a boat's subscription at any time from the Subscriptions area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; we do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
If a payment fails, a grace period of seven (7) days applies, during which the vessel remains fully usable. After the grace period the vessel's data becomes read-only: you can still view and export your records, but you cannot create or edit entries until billing is restored. We do not delete your data because of non-payment.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app; changes apply from your next billing period.
5. Your data
You (or the vessel owner or company you act for) retain all ownership of the vessel, maintenance, crew, inventory and operational data you enter into the Service ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, back up and transmit Customer Data solely to provide, secure and support the Service. We do not sell Customer Data and we do not use it for advertising. Where Customer Data includes personal data about crew or other individuals, you are responsible for having the right to enter it and for informing those individuals.
You can export or request a copy of your data at any time by contacting info@ivessel.co. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. AI features
Ask AI and document indexing generate answers from your own records using a third-party language model. Answers may be incomplete or wrong and must be checked against the underlying record before you rely on them. These features can be disabled for your company on request.
7. Availability and disclaimers
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, third-party outages, connectivity failures at sea, or events outside our reasonable control. Position and AIS data is supplied by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate; it must never be relied on for navigation or safety-of-life purposes.
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, iVessel LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or for vessel downtime, damage, salvage or repair costs, arising out of or relating to the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve (12) month period is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service during that period.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time, including by deleting your account from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, unlawful use, or prolonged non-payment, with notice where practicable. On termination your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export of your data within thirty (30) days of termination, after which we may delete it in line with our retention practices.
10. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to that venue.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and version above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscriptions.
