Projects & yard work

Yard periods and refits, planned task by task

Create a project on the boat — a haul-out and antifoul, a hull paint, a winter refit — with a description, start date, expected finish date, budget and status. Break it into tasks, assign each one to crew or an outside contractor, and watch the progress bar fill as the work gets done.

Projects sits under Maintenance and is included on every boat at no extra cost. It works the same on desktop, tablet and phone, for private, charter, commercial and government boats, and for fleets, small or large.

01

What you can track

One project per job, with everything about it in one place.

  • Description, start date, expected finish date, budget and status — planned, in progress, on hold or done
  • Tasks with start, due and completed dates, priority and photos
  • A running thread of updates and notes on every task and on the project
  • A progress bar on every project (% of tasks done), with overdue tasks highlighted
  • Open projects shown by default; completed projects kept and viewable

02

Costs against the budget

Know where the job stands before the final bill arrives.

  • Log a cost on each task
  • Add extra costs to the project itself
  • Everything rolls up into one project total
  • The total shown against the budget you set

03

Gantt view

When a project has start and finish dates, see it on a timeline.

  • One bar per task
  • A today line, so slipping tasks are obvious
  • Drag the end of a bar to change a task's due date
  • Overdue tasks highlighted

04

Crew and contractors on one list

Everyone working on the job sees the same tasks.

  • Assign a task to one or more crew members
  • Assign it to an external contractor, or to crew and a contractor together
  • Updates, notes and photos added to the task thread as the work goes on
  • The same app on desktop, tablet and phone

05

Keeps the everyday Issues list clean

A big refit should not bury the day-to-day faults.

  • Project tasks stay out of the everyday Issues list
  • Switch them on per project if you want them there
  • Link an existing issue to a project, or remove it again
