These are always active because the service cannot work without them, and they do not require consent:

• Authentication and session (app) — your signed-in session token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits, plus short-lived values used during sign-in and two-factor verification.
• Preferences — local storage entries that remember your theme, Lite mode, the selected boat, hidden pages and your cookie choice.
• Offline data (app) — a local copy of your boat's records and any changes queued while offline, stored on the device so the app works without signal.
• Security — values used by our hosting provider to protect the service against abuse.

We use Google Analytics on ivessel.co and in the app to understand which pages and features are used, so we can improve them. We also use Google Ads conversion measurement to see which of our own ads led to a sign-up or enquiry.

Both are switched off by default for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland and only start after you press "Accept" on the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are written. Accepting or declining applies to all four Google consent signals together (analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation). This policy covers both ivessel.co and the iVessel application, whose legal pages point here. We do not sell your data. Your IP address may be processed by Google as part of delivering this measurement.

You can change your mind at any time. On ivessel.co, use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer to bring the banner back. In the app, open the user menu and choose Cookie preferences. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which will sign you out and reset your preferences.

Some pages load resources from providers we use to run the service (for example Stripe for payments and Supabase for hosting and authentication). These providers may set their own strictly necessary cookies when you interact with those features. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of processors.
